Floating Stairs, Portfolio #28.

This is a set of stairs we built that had a U Shaped Tread path. In this case we used 3 landings to make it work.

Typically you would only need 2 landings, but this was done because of the placement of the final balcony vs the original starting point.

Hidden in the walls are 2 posts per landing that are buried in there for support.

We used a 6x6 3/8 HSS tubing for the central stringer of this Mono stringer set of stairs. Each tread is 1/2 plate to fasten the treads and the landings.

The installation of a project like this typically takes about 100 hrs depending on site conditions. The total time required to build a job like this out is approximately 200-220 hours.
