Commercian & Residential
We design, fabricate and install driveway gates for residential homes and businesses.
Driveway gates provide a wide range of benefits for your property, these include increased privacy, added security, and animal proofing. Because of this, they often end up increasing your property's value.
Manual & Automated Driveway Gates
There are two primary types of driveway gates: manual and automated. Each have their pro's and con's, however, most of them are rather intuitive: two examples include "not having to get out of your car in the rain to open your gate" to "automated gates typically are more expensive to service". We will go over the advantages and disadvantages of each when we look at your needs and property layout. One product we trust and have used many times on swing gates is the Liftmaster A500UL.
Access Control Systems
Automated gate systems have a come a long way, they're now significantly more secure than the grey button over a visor. For example, we can install keypad access systems, or something that integrates with your smart phone.
If you choose to integrate your gate with your smart phone, we recommend using one of Liftmaster's automated gate systems that comes with myQ Smart Home. With the right hardware and your cell phone, you'll be able open or close your gate from the palm of your hand. Other benefits include real time gate activity alerts, daily scheduled opening / closing, and you can even allow guests to have a secure login to maintain or check up on your home while you're out of town.
Swing Gates, Slide Gates & Cantilever Slide Gates.
There are two broad kinds of driveway gates: swing gates and slide gates. The main difference is how they open: Swing gates swing open, slide gates slide open. The only real thing that limits which gate your property can have is it's layout and elevations. That being said, we'll make sure that you get the exact fit you need once we take a look at your property.
The third kind of driveway gate: a cantilever slide gate.
While the style of the gate often resembles nearly other kinds, the main distinguishing feature is that cantilever construction allows us to install the gate on properties that lack external bracing (such as a solid fence or brick wall). The challenge is in the cantilever gate's frame: it needs to be able to withstand gravity and wind. Through intricate diagonal bracing and strategically welded trusses, we are able to design a gate that will withstand the test of time.
Wrought Iron Driveway Gates
The most common advertised material used in driveway gates installation and fabrication is wrought iron. However, today's advertised wrought iron is more likely a mild-steel variant. We have a brief article titled what is wrought iron over here that goes into more depth about it. But, in short, the new wrought iron is technologically superior product, boasting more strength, durabilty and cost-effectiveness over traditional wrought iron.
